Course Description : Lateral Epicondylalgia is a common complaint for any PT or OT. This course seeks to examine current evidence for examination and treatment o f the condition while exploring the role of proximal stability in the condition. A clinician taking this course will learn strategies of treatment focused on proximal stability.
Course Objectives :
The clinician will discuss and demonstrate an understanding of Lateral Epicondylitis examination procedures
The clinician will discuss and demonstrate clearing exams to rule out cervical & thoracic spines and peripheral nerves
The clinician will discuss and demonstrate the role of proximal stabilization in Lateral Epicondylitis
The clinician will demonstrate the application of exercises and their role in managing Lateral Epicondylitis.

10:15 - 11:00 Review of current literature on evaluation and treatment of Tennis Elbow
11:00 - 12:00 Role of Kinetic Chain and Trunk in Elbow.
12:00- 1:00 Lunch
1:00 - 2:30 Lab - looking at Static posture, Special tests, and differentiation of source structures. Upper quarter exam
2:30 pm - Break
2:45 - 4:30 Treatment of Tennis Elbow / Cl
4:30- 5:00 - Closing remarks / Discussion.
About the Instructors :
Randal Glaser DPT, OCS - Randal has been practicing care for over 15 years as a Physical therapist. He has spoken at APTA CSM poster and platform presentations on the Elbow and was co-author for JOSPT Article on Tennis Elbow in 2013. He is currently faculty in an orthopedic residency for Physical Therapists.
Jiten Bhatt DPT, OCS - Jiten has been practicing care for over 25 years as a Physical therapist. He has spoken at APTA CSM poster and platform presentations on the Elbow and was co-author for JOSPT Article on Tennis Elbow in 2013. Jiten has taught internationally and in the US to other rehab professionals including physical therapists and is a DNS practitioner. He is currently faculty in an orthopedic residency for Physical Therapists.
